Superstar Chiranjeevi is one of the most bankable and influential actors in the Indian entertainment industry. While he has worked extensively in Tollywood, the country often goes gaga over his movies. He has also made a name for his charitable works. From running many blood banks for ailing patients, to stressing on the fact to get regular health check-ups he often makes the headlines for spreading awareness. Recently the actor inaugurated a cancer centre to raise awareness about cancer.

During the inauguration ceremony, he had gone on to recall how he went through regular medical tests. The doctors were able to detect ‘non-cancerous polyps’ during his colonoscopy test, and had it removed. He had gone on to stress on the fact how health check ups on a regular basis can help avoid future complications. However, his entire story was misquoted by the media, and they started reporting that the actor was diagnosed with cancer.

The 67-year-old has now taken to his official Twitter handle to bash the journalist for reporting fake news. In his tweet, that is written in Telugu, a part of it reads, “I only said, 'If I hadn't done the test first, it would have turned out to be cancer'. That's why everyone should take precautions and undergo medical tests/screening', I only said.” He then proceeded to bash the media organisation for causing unnecessary confusion and worrying his fans.
